Tommy Joel Dacus

Tommy Joel Dacus, 62, was born in Anderson County SC, on March 25, 1960, to the late Lonzo and Julia Dacus. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Hospice of the Upstate.

Tommy was a member of Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. 

Tommy married Sandra McCarroll Dacus in 2013 and though he never had children of his own he was able to experience the joys of fatherhood and was a wonderful grandfather. Tommy’s memory will forever live on in every heart he touched. Tommy will be deeply missed and his memory cherished. A brother that would be caught saying “Who you with?” because it made his day. He had a sharp attitude in style, character and love for the Lord. Most know him as a man who loved his family and the memories he made along the way.

Tommy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra Dacus; children; Vince (Crystal) McCarroll, Christopher McCarroll and Nilayjia (Samuel) Mance; sister, Diane (Cecil) O’Neal; brothers, Jerome Dacus, Danny Dacus, Terry Dacus, Ronnie Dacus and Stanley (Tracy) Dacus; aunts, Joanne Henry, Sandra Pratt, and Andrea Jones; uncles, David Pratt, and Harris (Carolyn) Pratt; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one aunt, Ruby Groves: and two uncles, JC Pratt and Bobby Pratt.
