Leo Scott, 95,departed this life and entered the glorious gates of heaven on April 1, 2017.  Born August 17, 1921, he was the second son of the late Christopher Columbus and Lu Ella Scott.  He was the widower of the late Tecora Geneva Scott and Lola Mae Scott.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he served in many capacities throughout his life, including the Trustee Board, where he was the Chairman Emeritus.  He was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary Rucker Hall 6089.

Leo is survived by two sons, Edgar(Elizabeth), Kenneth(Dawn); one daughter Elaine Scott-Mattison, all of Anderson.  Grandchildren including Leonardo, Kardan, Chasity, Dejah, Chauncey, Jordyn and Catherine.  A special friend,  Johnnie Gambrell and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He was preceded  in death by a son, Alvin and brothers David and Charlie Scott, sister Johnnie Mae Wilson.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Starr, South Carolina, Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
