Artrell Mapp Obituary

Mrs. Artrell Coleman Mapp, 87, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA.

She was born June 27, 1933 to the late Gilbert Benson and Ellie Coleman.

Artrell graduated from the Anderson County Training School in 1950.

She was a member of the Mountain Springs Baptist Church prior to moving to Philadelphia with her family. Artrell was always known as a hard worker, she helped her late ex-husband, Jimmy Mapp, manage his restaurant for a number of years while also working as a domestic office worker.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sister, Annette Johnson, stepdaughter Janice Mapp as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Lawrence Coleman, Alice Webb, Mary Ellen Coleman, George Coleman and Geneva Scott.

Graveside services will be Saturday, 11:00 AM, September 12, 2020, at Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
