Delores Adams Payton

Delores Adams Payton, 74,  went to God's Glory on Sunday June 28, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Willie Mae Hill Adams.  She attended Westside High School and graduated in the class of 1963.

Delores worked as a Beautician at Mickey's Beauty Shop, she later begin working for District Five in the lunchrooms at Lakeside Middle School and Westside High School. She also worked for Saddleman Inc. before retiring in 1996.

Delores taught faithfully Bible Study every Tuesday evening at St. Paul Baptist Church from 1988-2009.  She loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus to everyone she came into contact with and alone with her son she helped the poor and prayed for their Salvation. 

She is survived by her husband Freddie Payton, one son Thomas Payton, Two brothers Rev. Nathaniel ( Bessie) Adams, Billy Adams, all of Cleveland Ohio. Three sisters Rose Ann (Donald) Swilling of Anderson, South Carolina, Susie (James) Freeman of Stone Mountain Georgia and Barbara Clinkscales of Lithonia Georgia.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Adams.

Service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home.

Burial  in New Silver Brook.
