Obituary

Mrs. Dessie Mae Geer passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Jake and Lola Prince Smith.

She was the widow of James "Jim" Geer.  She a member of the Welfare Baptist Church.

After retiring from Ellenburg Nursing Home she began an Upholstery Business .

She was a faithful volunteer with many organizations.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by Twelve Sisters, Mary Lois Davis, Mary Jane Baker, Leora S. Bowie, Gladys Wardlaw, Victoria Johnson, Anna Bell Daniels, Nellie Mae Smith, Addie Smith, Annie Lee Davis, Lucile Harris, Avis Wansley, Rozella Martin Gallup.

Six Brothers, Jay Hugh Smith, Luke Smith, Walter Prince, David Smith, Ray Smith and C. Otis Smith.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, June 2 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery.
