Mrs. Linda Burriss Roberts, widow of Williams Roberts, was born in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Jim Henry and Ojecter Burriss.
Linda graduated from Westside High School, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Benedict College and her master's Degree from South Carolina State University. She taught English at Westside High School for 34 Years. She also wrote the school's Alma Mater. She was also a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Linda is survived by her sons Terence Victor (Natalie), William Todd, Albert McKinley and Kory Glennis (Jackie); seven grandchildren, Tera Victoria, Terence Jr. (Kelly), Brandon McKinley, Bryce Albert, Kory Jr., Kelsey Yvette and Jala Denise Roberts; and a great-grandson, Blair Robert Clark. She is survived sisters, Carolyn Conner (Curtis), Phyllis Thompson (David) and Deborah Logan (Walter), as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Christine Rainey and Edith Hunter and brother Jimmy Ray Burriss.
Linda was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Her services will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at St. Paul First Baptist Church. 322 West Reed Street, Anderson, South Carolina.
