Mary Elizabeth Vandiver

Mary Elizabeth Vandiver, 64, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  She was born to the late Eleziah and Elizabeth Johnson Vandiver on October 29, 1954.

Mary graduated from Pendleton High School in 1972 before attending Central Wesleyan College where she was an Elementary Education Music Major.  Mary was also a cheerleader during her college years.

Mary loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.  She played piano for several area church choirs.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Annie Laura Vandiver Hall, brothers Eleziah Vandiver Jr. and Johnny Will Vandiver.

She will be fondly remembered by her nieces Janeka Hall,Nikki Williams, Danielle Vandiver, Desiree Wall and Precious Vandiver, nephews Elliot Da Tron Vandiver, Leon Scott, Darren Hall and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother Walter Robert Vandiver and two sisters Nancy Elizabeth and Annie Mae Vandiver.

Mary's loss is also deeply felt by Duane Cooper and Sandra Vandiver who consistently checked on her and ensured quality of life care throughout her illness.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Chapel at Johnson Funeral Home.
