Mattie Lene Rucker Hall, 97, transitioned peacefully from this life to eternity at her home in Belton, SC, on February 13th, 2022, surrounded by loving family members. She was affectionally called Mattie/Aunt Matt. She was the fifth child of seventeen born to the late Nathaniel and Bessie (Wimbush) Rucker. 

Aunt Matt was a lover of her family and a safe haven for many family members both in Cleveland, Ohio and Augusta, Georgia. Her home was a place to start over again. She made sure you had a safe place to sleep and plenty of food in your belly when you came to her home. One could say she was the Harriet Tubman of the Rucker clan.

Her niece/daughter, Paulette (Barry) Edwards Foster~ Pittsburgh, PA, her great niece/ granddaughter, Dr. Erika (Jamar) Singletary~ Glen Burnie, MD, nephew/son Steven Craig Knight, Loving sister-in-law Juanita Rucker~ Cleveland Heights, OH, Loving faithful caring cousin/neighbor, Jason (Margaret) Rucker ~US Army Veteran ~ Belton, SC, niece/Goddaughter,Tonocka Lewis, great-grandchildren Tatiana Renee Lee, Hailee Josephine Montfort, loving neighbors Corrine Smalley, Dee Dee and Bobby~ Augusta, GA and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, great/great-nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.
