Michael Terrell Johnson

Michael Terrell Johnson, 49, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020.

Terrell was the son of the late Sheila Diane Johnson and Lawrence Blackwell, Jr.

He departed this life unexpectedly while performing a job that he enjoyed, long distance driving.

Terrell attended Westside High School where he graduated in the class of 1989.  While at Westside, he played football for the Westside Ram.  He went on to obtain skills in several areas including, forklift operator, painter, and electrical technician.  Finally, he obtained his commercial driver's license and started a career as a long distance driver, which he felt would enable him to provide better for his children.  From a young age, Terrell had excellent work ethics.  It was always important to him to be present and on time; a very importance characteristic in the workforce.

Terrell was the offspring of two large families, so family gatherings were an important part of his life.  Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays were big events in the family and Terrell wanted to make sure his kids understood the importance of family time, so he made sure to involve them.

Terrell is survived by two daughters: Kalise and M'Shaila; two sons: Aaron and Omarion; a brother Raheem;  sisters: Regenia, Krista, Tanara, Andrea, Gwen, Carla and Candice; numerous aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Public viewing will be Monday, July 20, 2020 from 12: 00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home.

Private Service on Tuesday.
